In the above question , the following information is given -

P ( x ) = 2x³ - 13x² + 17x + 12.

To find -

Find the required value of P ( - 3 ) .

Solution -

P ( x ) = 2x³ - 13x² + 17x + 12.

P ( - 3 )

=> 2 ( -3 )³ -13 ( -3 )² + 17 ( -3 ) + 12

=> 2 ( -27 ) - 13 ( 9 ) - 51 + 12

=> -54 - 117 - 51 + 12

=> - 222 + 12

=> - 210 .

Thus , the required value of P ( - 3 ) is - 210 .

This is the answer .

★Given★

p(x)=2x³-13x²+17x+12

p(x)=-3

Answer

p(-3)=2(-3)³-13(-13)²+17(-3)+12

=2(-27)-13(9)-51+12

=-54-117-51+12

=-222+12

=-210

therefore,

p(-3)=-210
