GIVEN THAT,

p(x) = 2x+3

then,

p(1) = 2(1)+3

    =2+3

     = 5

p(3) = 2(3)+3

     = 6+3

     = 9

p(-3) = 2(-3)+3

       = -6+3

       = -3

p(-1) = 2(-1)+3

       = -2+3

       = 1

Answer:

  • p (1) = 5
  • p (3) = 9
  • p (-3) = -3
  • p (-1) = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

given

p(x) = 2x + 3

substitute x = 1

》p (1) = 2*1 + 3 = 5

substitute x = 3

》p (3) = 2*3 + 3 = 9

substitute x = -3

》p (-3) = 2* -3 + 3 = -6 + 3 = -3

substitute x = -1

》p(-1) = 2*-1 + 3 = -2 + 3 = 1
