 \underline { \pink { Remainder \: Theorem }}

If p(x) is any polynomial of degree greater than or equal to 1 and p(x) is divided by the linear polynomial (x-a) , then the remainder is p(a).

 Here , Polynomial \: p(x) = 5x - 10 \:is \:divided \: by \: (x- \sqrt{2}) \: then \: the \\ Remainder \: is \: p(\sqrt{2})

 \red { Remainder = p(\sqrt{2})} \\= 5 \times \sqrt{2} - 10 \\= 5\sqrt{2} - 10

Therefore.,

 \red{Remainder } \green {= 5\sqrt{2} - 10}
