if p x is equal to x cube minus 3 X square + 2 X find P0 and P - 1 ​

Solution :

p(x) = x³ - x² + x + 1

i ) p(-1) = (-1)³ - ( -1 )² + ( -1 ) + 1

= -1 - 1 - 1 + 1

= -2

ii ) p( 1 ) = 1³ - 1² + 1 + 1

= 1 - 1 + 1 + 1

= 2

Now ,

[ p(-1) + p(1) ]/2

= [ -2 + 2 ]/2

= 0

Answer:

p(x)=x^3-3x^2+2x

p(1)=(1)^3-3.(1)^2+2.1

=1-3+2 =0
