if p(x)=x^2-3x+5, find the value of p(-1)+p(1)​

p(x)= x^{2} -3x+5

first solve for -1

p(-1) = (-1)^{2} - 3(-1)+5

= 1 +3+5 = 9

solving for 1

p(1) = 1^{2}-3(1)+5

=1-3+5 =3

p(-1) + p (1) = 9 + 3 = 12
