p(x) = x³ - 4x + 3

p(2)

☛ p(2) = (2)³ - 4(2) + 3

☛ p(2) = 8 - 8 + 3

☛ p(2) = 3

p(-1)

☛ p(-1) = (-1)³ - 4(-1) + 3

☛ p(-1) = -1 + 4 + 3

☛ p(-1) = 6

p(1/2)

☛ p(1/2) = (1/2)³ - 4(1/2) + 3

☛ p(1/2) = 1/8 - 2 + 3

☛ p(1/2) = 25/8 - 2

☛ p(1/2) = (25 - 16)/8

☛ p(1/2) = 9/8
