ANSWER

The remainder when p(x) is divided by (x−a) is p(a)

Given that,

p(x)=x4−3x2+2x+5

Divisor =(x−1)

So, Remainder =p(1)

=(1) 4−3(1) 2 +2(1)+5

=1−3+2+5

=5
