Answer:

x= -a

p(x)+p(-x)

=p(-a)+p(-a)

= -ap-ap

answer= -2ap

IF

p(x)=x+a

thenp(-x)= -x+a

So,p(x)+p(-x)= (x+a) + (-x+a)

= 2a
