Hi,

Here is your answer !
__________________________

p(x) = x² - 4x + 3
___________________

→ p(2) = (2)² - 4(2) + 3

= 4 - 8 + 3 = -1
___________________

→ p(1/2) = (1/2)² - 4(1/2) + 3

= 1/4 - 2 + 3 = 1/4 + 1 = 5/4
___________________

→ p(-1) = (-1)² - 4(-1) + 3

= 1 + 4 + 3 = 8
___________________

Now,

p(2) + p(1/2) - p(-1) = -1 + 5/4 - 8

= -9 + 5/4 = (-36 + 5)/4

= -31/4

Hiii friend,

P(X) = 0

X²-4X +3 = 0

P(2) = 0

(2)² - 4 × 2 +3 = 0

4 - 8 +3 = 0

7-8 = -1

P(1/2) = 0

(1/2)² - 4 × 1/2 + 3 = 0

1/4 - 4/2 + 3 = 0

1 - 8 + 12/4 = 0

13-8 = 0×4

5

And,

P(-1) = 0

(-1)² - 4 × -1 + 3

1 +4 + 3

8

Therefore,

P(2) + P(1/2) - P(-1)

=> -1 + 5 - 8

=> -9 +5

=> -4

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU....... :-)
