Given: p(x) = x^2+5\  and\  q(x) = x^2-3

We have to findp(x) +q(x).

  • As we know that adding two or more numbers together is known as an addition.
  • The addition is denoted by a symbol(+).

We are solving in the following way:

We have,

p(x) = x^2+5\  and\  q(x) = x^2-3

Putting the above values inp(x) +q(x):

p(x) +q(x)

=>x^2+5+x^2-3

Solving like terms:

=>x^2+x^2+5-3\\=>2x^2+2

Hence, we get the solution is2x^2+2.
