Given polynomial

  • p ( x) = x² + 5x + 2

To find

  • p(3) + p(2) + p(0)

We will find values of the above individually.

p(3) means the value of the equation when p = 3

⇒p(3) = (3)²+5(3)+2

⇒p(3)=9+15+2

⇒p(3) = 26

p(2) means the value of the equation when p = 2

⇒p(2) = (2)²+5(2)+2

⇒p(2)=4+10+2

⇒p(2) = 16

p(0) means the value of the equation when p = 0

⇒p(0) = (0)²+5(0)+2

⇒p(0)=0+0+2

⇒p(0) = 2

p(3) + p(2) + p(0) \\= 26 + 16 +2 \\ = 44 \\

Therefore, p(3) + p(2) + p(0) = 44

Question

P(x) = {x}^{2} + 5x + 2

Answer

To find the values of P(3)+P(2)+P(0) ! For this we have to find the values separately.

Substitute 3 in place of "x"

P(x) = {x}^{2} + 5x + 2 \\ P(3) = {3}^{2} + 5(3) + 2 \\ P(3) = 9 + 15 + 2 \\ P(3) = 26

Hence the value of p(3) = 26

Now, substitute 2 in place of "x"

P(x) = {x}^{2} + 5x + 2 \\ P(2) = {2}^{2} + 5(2) + 2 \\ P(2) = 4 + 10 + 2 \\ P(2) = 16

Hence the value of p(2) = 16

Now, substitute 0 in place of "x"

P(x) = {x}^{2} + 5x + 2 \\ P(0) = {0}^{2} + 5(0) + 2 \\ P(0) = 0 + 0 + 2 \\ P(0) = 2

Hence the value of p(0) = 2

Now to find the value of P(3)+P(2)+P(0)

= P(3)+P(2)+P(0)

= 26+16+2

= 44

Therefore value of P(3)+P(2)+P(0) is 44.
