If p(x) = x2 +5x - 9, q(x) = 4x-1, find p(x) + 3 q(x)

Answer:

Easy bro just put the value of p(X) and q(X)

in p(X) + 3 q(X)

x2 +5x - 9 + 3(4x-1)

X² + 5x -9 + 12x -3

X² + 17x - 12 is the answer

Don't simply further and get X= etc etc.

This is wrong as p(X) + 3 q(X) is not equal to zero.

They are just asking for the value of p(X) + 3 q(X)

Btw you can't simplify further lol
