by substituting p(2),

p(2)=2(2)-6(2)+8

=4-12+8

=-8+8

=0

by substituting p(1),

p(1)=1(2)-6(1)+8

=2-6+8

=-4+8

=4

by substituting p(1/2)

p(1/2)=1/2(2)-6(1/2)+8

=1-3+8

=-2+8

=6

there fore p(2)+p(1)-p(1/2)

Answer:

p (2)=2^2-6×2+8=4-12+8=0

p(1)=1^2-6×1+8=1-6+8=3

p (1/2)=(1/2)^2-6×1/2+8=1/4-3+8

=1-12+32

_________=21/4
