P(1)= 1³-1=1-1=0
P(-1)=(-1)³-1= -1-1=-2
therefore,P(1)+P(-1)=0+(-2)= -2

p(x)=x³-1

p(1)=(1)³-1
p(1)=1-1=0

p(-1)=(-1)³-1
p(-1)=-1-1= -2

Therefore, p(1)=0,p(-1)=-2
p(1)+p(-1)=0+(-2)= -2

hope it helps
