To Find :-

p(-1)+p(1)/2

Solution :-

To Find p(-1) we need substitute '-1' in place of 'x' in p(x) :-

→ p(-1) = (-1)³ - (-1)² + (-1) + 1

= - 1 - (1) - 1 + 1

= - 1 - 1 - 1 + 1

= - 2

p(-1) = - 2

To Find p(1) we  need substitute '1' in place of 'x' in p(x) :-

→ p(1) = (1)³ - (1)² + 1 + 1

= 1 - (1) + 1 + 1

= 1 - 1 + 1 + 1

= 2

p(1) = 2

p(-1)+p(1)/2 = - 2 + 2/2

= 0/2

= 0

∴ p(-1) + p(1)/2 = 0
