Given p(x) = x³-x²+x+1

so, p(1) = (1)³-(1)²+1+1 = 2.

and p(-1) = -1-1+1+1 = 0

therefore , p(1)+p(-1) = 2+0 = 2. and

{p(1)+p(-1)}/2 = 2/2 = 1.
