if p(x,y) is equdistant from the pts A(6,-1) and B (2,3) show that x-y = 3​

Answer:

PA=PB

squaring on both sides

PA^2=PB^2

Using distance formula

(x-6)^2+(y+1)^2=(x-2)^2+(y-3)^2

x^2+36-12x+y^2+1+2y=x^2+4-4x+y^2+9-6y

8x-8y=24

8(x-y)=24

x-y=3

Hence proved
