To do :

If particle start from rest moves in straight line with constant acceleration.

Draw following graphs

(a) Position Vs time

(b) Velocity Vs time

Solution:

Let constant acceleration be "a" :

So, we can express the acceleration as :

 \therefore \: a =  \dfrac{dv}{dt}

 \implies \: dv = a \: dt

  \displaystyle\implies \:  \int_{0}^{v} dv = a  \:  \int_{0}^{t} dt

  \displaystyle\implies \:  v = at

So, velocity - time graph will be linear with positive slope.

  \displaystyle\implies \:  v = at

  \displaystyle\implies \:   \dfrac{dx}{dt}  = at

  \displaystyle\implies \:   dx  = a \: t \: dt

  \displaystyle\implies \:   \int_{0}^{x} dx  = a \: \int_{0}^{t} t \: dt

 \implies \: x = a {t}^{2}

So, displacement - time graph will be parabolic.
