Jaundice is caused by virus. Penicillin is an antibiotic which works again only bacteria not virus. It is because virus has its own mechanism and it also uses the product of host body whereas bacteria makes cell wall which we don't have.

Penicillin is a antibiotic. Antibiotic are not reactive against disease caused by virus.
