If penicillin is given to jaundice patient suffering from jaundice it does not have any effect on infection.Why?

Because jaundice is caused by viruses, penicillin cannot do anything..

penicillin is an antibiotic and only works when disease causing microbe is bacteria . jaundice is not caused by bacteria
