If people can call their pets fur babies then there is nothing wrong with calling human kids skin dogs. I did call a boy skinned dog the previous day, but his parents got really offended!

A kid is a pet that learns to talk. thus a human pet is a skin dog if a dog is a fur baby. why would this be frowned upon? i guess something popping out of you is more emotionally involved? idk its w.e though. i think a fish would be the same as a kid until 5.

What do you guys think?

Answer:

No, if the parents or any other concerned being of the child is offended by the way you refer their child, then you must not call him/her by that name.

Explanation:

People do call their pet by amusing names that may sound cute to human brains, like Fur babies but this is only because of the fact that they are taking care of their pets just like babies. So it makes sense to call pets just like their babies.

But a baby of parents is not a pet, it is their own offspring, their proof of existence when they will not be in this world. Hence, it can be offending to call a baby "pet" because a baby is more than that.

Its always the case of context, if a person is ok with you calling their children with funny names, then it is absolutely fine. But if they don't like it, please be sensible and drop the idea.
