If the length of the sides of cube increased by 2% then the length of the sides will increased by (100+2) units which is 102 units.

So the new volume is 102^3 cubic units, which is equal to 1061208 cubic units.

Increase volume is (1061208-1000000)cubic units, which is equal to 61208 cubic units.

So the percentage increased in volume is equal to (61208/1000000)×100% ,which is equal to 6.12%
