$\frac{1}{4} \times circumferance \: of \: the \: circle = \frac{1}{4} \times area \: of \: circle$

Therefore...

(let radius be r)

$\frac{1}{4} \times 2 \times \pi \times r = \frac{1}{4} \times \pi \times {r}^{2}$

$2\pi = \pi \times r$

$r = 2$

Diameter=2r
=4
