Answer:

let length be x cm

so. breadth be 2x - 5

perimeter = 2 ( l + b)

2 (x + 2x-5) = 170

6x - 10 = 170

x = 170 +10 / 6

= 180/6

= 30

length = x= 30cm

breadth = 2x - 5 = 2 × 30 -5 = 55cm

here we see that breadth is large than length

Answer:

Perimeter = 170cm

Let length be = x

Let breadth be = 2x-5

Therefore, 170 = 2(l+b)

Therefore, 170 = 2((2x-5)+x)

Therefore, 170 = 2(2x-5+x)

Therefore, 170 = 2(3x-5)

Therefore, 170 = 6x-10

Therefore, 170+10 = 6x

Therefore, 180/6 = x

Therefore, 30 = x

Or,x = 30cm

So, Length= x =30cm

Breadth = 2x-5 = 2*30-5 = 60-5 = 55cm
