If Phosphorus have .... 3s2 and 3p3 orbitals and it doenot hybridise why does Nitrogen having 2s2 2p3 does ? Both should do pure p orbital combination so why does nitrogen undergoes hybridisation while Phosphorus doesnot.

Please give proper answer
