If pipe takes 4min to fill a tank and another pipe takes 12 min what will be the time taken for a tank if both the pipes are together

total volume of tank=12
then 1st pipe will fill it in 1min =12÷4=3L
and 2nd pipe will take =12÷12=1L
so in total 1 min 4L of tank was filled
so 4×3=12
it will take 3 min together to fill the tank
