Explanation: Pitcher plant if green in colour and contain chl. so able to do photosynthesis that's why called autotroph .But instead of that they feed on insect bcz they need some mineral that play essential role in survival.They grow in swampy area where soil has deficiency of nitrogen so to fulfill that deficiency they trap insect and use their protein bcz protein is polypeptide of amino acid and acid contain nitrogen hence they full fill their deficiency.They trap insect by their rolled leaf which contain digestive enzyme .
