the time you save at the start of project, not drawing a planning, you will loose it x5 or x10 before the end of the project
you must frequently update your planning to have it the less wrong as possible
you must construct a real capacity planning, and have data (real work done) updated by the team and resources need to update left work when they consider left is not enought to finish, or is too much (this last case is very rare)

they must learn to do it : it is a very part of being a manager
