if point B,D and F are the midpoints of the sides CE,AE and AC of triangle ACE; EC =40 cm and DB =18 cm then fine AC and FD?​

Given : B,D and F are the midpoints of the sides CE,AE and AC of triangle .

EC =40 cm and DB =18 cm

To Find :  AC and FD

Solution:

Line joining the mid-point of two sides of a triangle is equal to half the length of the third side

FD = EC/2

=> FD = 40/2

=> FD = 20 cm

DB = AC/2

=> 18 = AC/2

=> AC = 36 cm

AC = 36 cm

FD = 20 cm
