Answer:

a=1300,b=2600,c=1060

Step-by-step explanation:

2a=b,c+240=a,c=1060

therefore a=1060+240=1300

b=2a=2600

c=1060

Given,

Pole A is twice  the pole B

Pole C  is 240 CM shorter than Pole A

Pole C= 1060cm

To Find,

The total length of 3 poles=?

Solution,

Let the length of Pole A = a, length of Pole B =b and

length of Pole C = c = 1060cm

Now according to the question,

Pole A is twice  the pole B, we get

Therefore , a = 2 * b

Pole C  is 240 CM shorter than Pole A, we get

c = a - 240

a = c + 240 = 1060 + 240 (Valeu of c is given)

a = 1300cm

Also, a = 2*b

b = a /2 = 1300/2 = 650cm

Total length of 3 poles = a+b+c =650 + 1300 +1060 =3010cm

Hence, Total length of three poles is 3010 cm.
