p(x)=x^4 -2x^2 +3x^2 -ax +8

now,x=2

therefore;

p(2)=2^4 -2(2)^2 +3(2)^2 +8

10=16 -8 +12 -2a +8

10=28 -2a

10 -28= -2a

-18 = -2a

9=a
