Given height = 6cm.
Given that external diameter of the frustum are d = 5cm and d = 2cm.
Then the radius R = d/2 = 5/2 = 2.5cm. and r = d/2 = 1cm.
We know that l =
=
=
=
= ~6.2cm.
Curved surface area of the frustum = * l * (R+r)
= * 6.2 * (2.5 + 1)
= 68.2cm.
Curved Surface area of the hemisphere = 2r^2
= 2 * * (1)^2
=
Therefore the External surface area = 68.2 +
= 68.2 + 6.28571
= 74.485
= ~74.5cm^2.
Hope this helps!
