If potential across the inductor, capacitor ans resistor are 20v,40v and 20v respectively then find net
e.M.F of lcr circuit

Answer ⇒  the total potential difference across the L.C.R. CIRCUIT is 20√2 V.

Explanation ⇒ For the L.C.R. Circuit,

the Net EMF is given by the formula,

 E^2 = V_r^2 + (V_l - V_c)^2

 

Then,

   Vr = Potential across Resistor = 20 V

  Vc = Potential across Capacitor = 40 V

 Vl = Potential across Inductor = 20 V

∴ E² = 20² + (40 - 20)²

∴ E² = 400 + 400

∴ E = 20√2 V

Hence, the total potential difference across the L.C.R. CIRCUIT is 20√2 V.
