Given :-

Potential difference (V) =5v

Current (I) = 2 A

To find :-

The resistance of conductor

  • By ohm's law

\boxed{\sf{\dag \ \ V= IR}}

Where ,

•V = Potential difference

•I = Current

•R= Resistance

  • By putting the values in the formula we get the value of Resistance

\implies\sf V= IR\\ \\ \implies\sf  5= 2\times R\\ \\ \implies\sf \cancel{\dfrac{5}{2}}= R\\ \\ \implies\sf 2.5 = R

\underline{\boxed{\sf{\dag\ \ \ Resistance (R) = 2.5 \Omega}}}

Answer:

Explanation:

Correct Question :-

If potential difference of 5 v is applied across conductor, a currents 2A flows through it. find resistance of conductor.

Answer :-

Given :-

Potential difference, v = 5 V

Current, I = 2 A

To Find :-

Resistance of conductor.

Law or formula to be used :-

By ohm's law,

V = IR

Solution :-

Putting all the values, we get

V = IR

⇒ R = V/I

⇒ R = 5/2

R = 2.5 Ω

Hence, the resistance of conductor is 2.5 Ω.
