[Abcdefghijkl] |_mn_| [opqrstuvwxyz]

Here we can see that M and N are the middle letters and we have made two sets that are A to L and O to Z.

Now in this question it is given that P is coded as K and so on. When we see the two different sets leaving the letters M and N, we observe that in the first set of alphabets the last letter from the right side(i. e. L) is replaced with the first letter from the second set from left side(i. e. O) , and so on.

So with this we can say that HARD can be encoded as,

SZIW. You can check it with the same method that I explained for the first word.

Hope this helped you...

Answer:

HARD = SZIW

Step-by-step explanation:

A   -->     Z

B   -->     Y

C   -->     X

D  -->     W

E   -->     V

F   -->     U

G   -->     T

H   -->     S

I    -->      R

J   -->      Q

K   -->      P

L   -->      O

M  -->      N

N  -->      M

O  -->       L

P   -->       K

Q  -->        J

R   -->        I

S   -->       H

T   -->       G

U   -->       F

V   -->       E

W  -->       D

X   -->       C

Y   -->       B

Z   -->       A

Since, P = K

          O = L

          W = D

          E = V

          R = I

Therefore, POWER = KLDVI

Similarly, H = S

               A = Z

               R = I

               D = W

HARD = SZIW
