extend the line from M  until it meets RYS. So let it be Z.  so XZS= 180-135 =45 (since alternate angles).   so traingle ZYM=180(total) ,  40+45+ ZMY=180,   ZMY= 95    

Therefore   ZMY+YMX=180

                   95 + YMX=180

     YMX= 85
