If pressure on a gas is increased and tempurature is decreased, then the particles would come closer together and hence, change into liquids.

If pressure on a gas is increased what will happen to interparticle forces?

As external pressure is increased on a gas the constituent particles are forced to come closer. It will result in an increase in the force of attraction between the particles.
