we take a expression x²-x²

we can take x common from here so

x²-x²=x(x-x) ----------(1)

we also know that a²-b²=(a+b)(a-b)

so we can write

x²-x²=(x+x)(x-x) ----------(2)

equating (1) and (2)

x(x-x)=(x+x)(x-x)

(x-x) is on both LHS and RHS so we can cut it

now the equation becomes

x=(x+x)

we put 1 in place of x so we get

1=1+1

so 1 = 2
