Answer:

1/q=1/(√2+√3)=(√3-√2)/{√3+√2)(√3-√2)}

=(√3-√2)/(3-2)

=√3-√2

q-(1/q)=√3+√2-(√3-√2)=2√2

q^2+1/q^2=(q-1/q)^2+2=(√3-√2)^2=3+2-2√6+2=7-2√6

[because (q-1/q)^2= q^2+(1/q)^2-2.q.(1/q)

=q^2+(1/q)^2-2]
