Steps of construction:

1. Draw a line l.

2. Take any point P on it.

3. With P as centre, draw a semicircle, cutting the line l at M and N.

4. With M as centre and radius more than half of MN, draw an arc.

5. With N as centre and the same radius, draw another arc, cutting the previously drawn arc at Q.

6. Join PQ and produce it to both sides to get the line m.
