Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Q is inversely proportional to P and Q=0.25 when P= 2.

To find :-

Find the following :-

(i) express Q in terms of P?

(ii) find the value of Q when P = 5?

(iii) calculate the value of P when Q = 0.2.?

Solution :-

Given that

Q is inversely proportional to P

=> Q ∝ 1/P

=> Q = K/P

=> Q×P = K

=> PQ = K , where K is a constant.

If P = 2 and Q = 0.25 then

K = 2×0.25

=> K = 0.50

=> K = 0.5

Therefore, K = 0.5

I) We have, PQ = K

=> Q = K/P

ii) Given that P = 5 then

PQ = K

=> Q = K/P

=> Q = 0.5/5

=> Q = 0.1

Therefore, Q = 0.1

iii) Given that Q = 0.2

Now,

PQ = K => P = K/Q

=> P = 0.5/0.2

=> P = (5/10)/(2/10)

=> P = 5/2

=> P = 2.5

Therefore, P = 2.5

Answer:-

I) The value of Q interns of P is K/P

II) The value of Q when P = 5 is 0.1

III) The value of P when Q = 0.2 is 2.5

Used formulae:-

→ If Q is inversely proportional to P then PQ = K , where K is a constant.
