R is molar gas constant , \gamma=\frac{C_p}{C_v}....(1)

here, \gamma is atomicity of any ideal gas. Cp is molar specific heat capacity at constant pressure and Cv is molar specific heat capacity at constant volume.

we know,

difference of molar specific heat capacity at constant volume from molar specific heat capacity at constant pressure always equals to R.

e.g., C_p-C_v=R.....(2)

from equation (1) and (2),

C_v=\frac{R}{\gamma-1}

and C_p=\frac{\gamma R}{\gamma-1}
