if radius of a circle is doubled then what will be the change in its area

sudeeptolodh786: sry its 4 times
sudeeptolodh786: yes u r right its (2r)^2 not 2r^2
sudeeptolodh786: so according to this it would be 4 times
SRK1729: 3 times changed
SRK1729: you should subtract this
SRK1729: from original
SRK1729: understand?
sudeeptolodh786: ok i am trying
SRK1729: if you have any doubts you can ask your teacher

Step-by-step explanation:

area of cirlce if radius R let = pi ×R^2

if radius doubes = 2R

then its area = pi×4R^2

change in area = pi×4R^3-pi×R^2

= pi×R^2 (4-1)

= 3pi×R^2

sudeeptolodh786: check it properly
SRK1729: o hello 8th class
SRK1729: you're wrong
sudeeptolodh786: i'm not 8th class i read
sudeeptolodh786: my name is sudeepto
sudeeptolodh786: check in internet
SRK1729: you should check in Internet
sudeeptolodh786: first u check
SRK1729: i don't need
SRK1729: change in anything is always subtraction

let radius= r

area= πr^2

radius of new circle=2r

area= π(2r)^2

Change in area = [π(2r)^2] - [πr^2]

= (π-π)×[(2r)^2 - (r)^2]

=1×r

="r" sq.units

Hope this helps......

sudeeptolodh786: it is wrong its division not subtraction check my above statement mentioned in upper answer
