Given:-

  • If Radius of circle is tripled.

Have to Find:-

  • Find the area of circle increased?

Solution:

Let us we consider the original radius of circle be ' r '

From this, the area will be " πr² "

According to the Question :

The radius is tripled,

Then, new radius be " 3r "

Also from this, new area of circle will be " π(3r)² "

➹ Increased Area → New area - Original area

 \implies \sf \: \pi   {3r}^{2}  - \pi  {r}^{2}

 \implies \sf \: \pi {r}^{2} (3 - 1)

If you want it in percent,

Increased area of circle in percent be,

 \implies \sf \dfrac{\pi {r}^{2}(3 - 1) }{\pi {r}^{2} } \times 100\%

 \implies \sf \dfrac{2\pi {r}^{2} }{\pi {r}^{2} } \times 100\%

 \implies \sf 2 \times 100\%

 \implies \sf 200\%

Therefore, 200 % area increase.
