Salt is the most essential product for any kind of cooking procedure. And India is the second most populated country of the world. So this humongous population demands a huge amount of salt production.

Generally salt is manufactured from the ocean water. But in the non coastal area live Rajasthan there is no scope of ocean water salt manufacturing. Rajasthan has the India's biggest inland salt production lake. Which is also known as the Sambhar salt lake.

This is a salt lake is the main salt production site of the Rajasthan.
