Given:-

•Shyam sells an article to Shyam at gain of 20% and Shyam sells it to Mohan at gain of 10%.

•C.P. of Mohan is Rs.660.

To Find:-

•Find the C.P. of Ram.

Solution:-

S.P. of Shyam = 660 rupees

Gain = 10%

Using Formula:

 \: \: \sf \: cp = \frac{sp}{100 + gain \: percent} \times 100

Now substitute the values

 \: \: \sf \: cp = \frac{660}{100 + 10} \times 100 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \: cp = \frac{660}{110} \times 100 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \: cp = 600rupees

Hence,Cost Price of an article of Shyam is 600 rupees.

Now,

  • SP of Ram = Rs.600
  • Gain = 20%

Using Formula:

 \: \: \sf \: cp = \frac{sp}{100 + gain \: percent} \times 100

Now substitute the values,

 \: \: \sf \: cp = \frac{600}{100 + 20} \times 100 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \: cp = \frac{600}{120} \times 100 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \: cp = 500 rupees

Hence,Cost Price of an article to Mohan is 500 rupees.
