Time taken by Ram to do the work = 12days.

Work done by Ram in 1 day = 1/12.

Time taken by Shyam to do the work = 15days.

Work done by Shyam in 1 day = 1/15.

Time taken by Anwar to do the work =20days.

Work done by Anwar in 1 day = 1/20.

Therefore , (Ram + Shyam + Anwar)'s 1 day work

= (1/15 + 1/12 + 1/20).

=( 4 + 5 + 3 / 60).

=12/60.

=1/5.

Therefore , total time taken by them to complete 1 work = 1÷1/5 days = 5days.
