if ratio of two numbers be 13:11. and the difference between the two numbers be 8 then find the two numbers?​

• Two numbers are in ratio 13 : 11 respectively.

• Difference between the two numbers is 8.

=> To Find :-

• The two numbers

=> Let :-

• The first number be 13x.
• The second number be 11 x.

=> According to the question :-

=> 13x - 11x = 8... (eq. 1)

On solving the equation, we get,

$= > 13x - 11x = 8 \\ = >2x = 8 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \\ = > x = \frac{8}{2} = 4 \: \: \: \: \: \: \:$

Therefore, x = 4

So, the first number,

=> 13x = 13 x 4 = 52

The second number :-

=> 11x = 11 x 4 = 44

=> Verification :-

Putting the values of 11x and 13x in eq. 1, we get,

=> 52 - 44

=> 8.
