If reciprocating speed is very small compare to the rotary speed, than the cross hatch angle tends to zero.

Cross hatch angle is given as

tan∅=reciprocating speed/rotary speed

here, ∅ is the cross hatch angle.

Now if the reciprocating speed is very less compare to the rotary speed, than the expression for tan∅ reduces to zero, thus the cross hatch angle tends to zero.

Hence, if the reciprocating speed is very small compare to the rotary speed, than the cross hatch angle tends to zero.
