Relative density = Density of substance / Density of water

From above,
Density of substance = Relative Density × Density of water

In SI units
Density of water = 1000 kg/m³
Density of Aluminium = 2.7 × 1000 kg/m³ = 2700 kg/m³

In CGS units
Density of water = 1 g/cm³
Density of Aluminium = 2.7 × 1 g/cm³ = 2.7 g/cm³

R.D = density of material/density of water , density of material = R.D× density of water = 2.7units
Hope it helped
